General Information
Program:  The 55^th Street School operates between the hours of 7:30AM and 3:30PM and accepts children from the ages of 2 through 5. A variety of programs are offered including: Preschool, Pre-kindergarten and morning childcare. The daily schedule allows time for teacher directed activities and self-initiated activities as well as time for free play, quiet and active periods and both indoor and outdoor large-motor play. the children experience being in small groups with children their own age, as well as larger age integrated groups.

Registration: If you want to know more about our school call to make an appointment to visit with your child. Visits are usually scheduled for 9:30AM and are casual observation. During your visit you can discuss the availability and enrollment process. Registration begins in February for the following school year. If you want your child to attend our school and a verbal agreement has been reached with a director  after your visit, parents must complete an application and immunization form for their child. A $200.00 registration fee is due upon enrollment. This annual fee covers insurance costs. This fee is not deducted from the tuition and is non-refundable. Vacations: The 55^th Street School will be closed on legal holidays. We also close for winter and spring vacations. These days and personal vacations are not deducted from the monthly fee. The school will also be closed for the months of July and August. There will be no charge for these months.
